July 25 – Jubilee Voices at Oatlands Plantation

All are invited to a signature event at Oatlands Plantation bringing together descendants from all four National Historic Trust Sites of enslavement in Virginia for an afternoon of speakers, music and fellowship. Washington Revels Jubilee Voices will perform throughout the day during program breaks.

February 14 – Frederick Douglass Birthday Celebration

Celebrate the life and legacy of activist, orator, and statesman Frederick Douglass! This 1.5-hour program will feature music by the Jubilee Voices of the Washington Revels, performances by the student winners of the annual Frederick Douglass Oratorical Contest, keynote speaker, Jeffrey Rosen, author of “The Pursuit of Happiness,” and President & CEO of The Constitution Center in Philadelphia.

May 2 (11am) – Celebrate the Spring at Glen Echo Park

Join Washington Revels on May 2nd as we chase away Winter and celebrate the seasonal re-opening of the 105-year-old Dentzel Carousel at Glen Echo Park Partnership’s annual Carousel Day! Washington Revels will kick off the celebration with a festive musical procession throughout the park (11:00 a.m.). Following the parade, all are invited to take part in some joyous dancing around the Maypole.
