February 1 – Tu B’shevat at the Capital Jewish Museum

Family Day: Tu B-Shevat at the Capital Jewish MuseumWashington Revels is joining with the Lillian and Albert Small Capital Jewish Museum to throw a birthday party for the trees!

Tree-lovers of all ages and from all backgrounds are welcome to learn, connect, and create while we celebrate all the wonderful gifts of the trees. Throughout the day all are invited to join in the fun: create and enjoy a Tu B’shevat seder-inspired DIY trail mix snack; contribute to a “Thank You, Trees,” community art build; and, find stories of conservation and community with a themed exhibition scavenger hunt.

Scheduled activities include:

1:15pm and 3:15pm – Decorate a pot and plant seeds of parsley and new trees at 1:15 pm or 3:15 pm in a workshop led by local author Pamela Ehrenberg and local conservationist non-profit Casey Trees.
