Join us for our September Community Sing for songs in celebration of National Hispanic Heritage Month, African Heritage Month, and Labor Day
We will celebrate National Hispanic Heritage Month, Montgomery County’s African Heritage Month, and Labor Day by singing a great selection of songs (in English and other languages, but easy to sing).
We have a new format! Our first hour focuses on kid and family songs (but most songs are fun for adults too). Then we break for some treats and to celebrate September birthdays. After that, we will gather again for adult-friendly songs — these may be a little more challenging, but beginners are welcome. Families and children who wish to rise to the occasion and focus on learning and singing are welcome to stick around!
Everyone is welcome to bring refreshments and songs to share. This month, enjoy treats from our sponsor El Golfo.
Sign up in advance to lead a song by contacting Jo Rasi (jrasi@revelsdc.org or 301-587-3835). Or just show up to sing (or even just to listen)!
Schedule
- 6:30-7:30pm – Songs for Families & Children
- 7:30-8:00 – Songs, Snacks & Celebration of September Birthdays
- 8:00-9:00 – Songs for People Who Love to Sing
