December 9 – Winter’s Eve Revels at Glen Echo Park

Winter's Eve RevelsSpend a delightful afternoon with Washington Revels as we journey to Camelot, during the time of the Knights of the Round Table. Learn how Arthur became King and gained the mighty sword “Excalibur” in a magical retelling of The Sword in the Stone with Chapter House, featuring GRAMMY-nominated storytelling and music duo Peter and Sarah Walker. Meet King Arthur, Guinevere, and their courtly friends as we invite you to enjoy sounds of the season from the Washington Revels Brass; a chorus of adults, teens and children; and a medieval ensemble featuring Peter Walker, Brian Kay, and Dongmyung Ahn. Experience the magic of a Winter’s Eve Revels, filled with music and audience participation.

Enjoy this “prequel” celebration as King Arthur’s court prepares for the holiday revelry that will be featured in the 2023 Christmas Revels: The Magical Medieval Tale of Sir Gawain and the Green Knight.
