#FreedomWalk2026 is an eight-week, 750-mile pilgrimage retracing the historic Underground Railroad from Maryland to Canada. Led by historian Anthony Michael Cohen, it commemorates America’s 250th birthday by traveling on foot, boat, and rail to honor the legacy of freedom seekers and abolitionists.
Washington Revels Jubilee Voices is proud to join #FreedomWalk2026 on July 1 at the crossing from Niagara, NY, into Canada. Previously, the Heritage Voices group performed at the kickoff on May 3, prior to the start of the walk on May 4.
