April 23 – Jubilee Voices at Augustana Lutheran Church

Jubilee Voices at the Arlington Country Public Library (2022)This Sunday, join Washington Revels Jubilee Voices as they bring their unique blend of history, music, and spoken word to lead a special a cappella worship service at Augustana Lutheran Church. The group, celebrating its 13th year, will present traditional African American spirituals, poetry and readings, and lead the congregational singing, joined by the Augustana choir.

Come hear and sing songs of faith, freedom and justice. The worship service will be followed with a reception where attendees can meet the artists.

Located in the heart of Washington, D.C., Augustana Lutheran Church welcomes the participation of people of all ages, ethnic backgrounds, sexual orientations, gender identities, educational backgrounds, and economic conditions. Whoever you are, whatever your faith tradition, whatever your story, you are welcome here.
