Celebrate Maryland Heritage Days!

The Washington Revels Jubilee Voices joins Button Farm Living History Center for a celebration of Maryland Heritage Days!

At 2 p.m., Jubilee Voices will perform in “Those Before Us,” an immersive experience that interweaves narratives from the Underground Railroad, the historic Button Farm, and music, spoken word and dance. Audiences will explore the personal memories of a freedom seeker and the rich history of the Underground Railroad in Montgomery County.

This FREE festival highlights historic, cultural, and outdoor recreation sites offering special programs including exhibits & demonstrations, live music, activities for children, and much more!  Heritage Days is the perfect chance to enjoy many small sites that are not regularly open to the public.

This performance is supported by two grants from the Heritage Tourism Alliance of Montgomery County (Heritage Montgomery) for research and performance of ancestral music and stories from communities that make up the African American Heritage Trail.
