Singing as a Virtual Community
Join us for the monthly Carpe Diem Arts-Washington Revels Community & Family Sing online! Sing along with an extraordinary group of recording artists and song leaders as we celebrate the Eve of Earth Day, Arab-American Heritage Month, and Jazz Appreciation Month.
Featured Artists:
- Dan & Claudia Zanes (hosts)
- The Vox Hunters (Armand Aromin & Benedict Gagliardi)
- Doug Elliott
- Chic Street Man
- Glenn & Matt Pearson
- Huda Asfour
- Jim Harkless (who will have just celebrated his 90th birthday on April 19!)
- Walter Parks (St. Louis) — premiering a new song: “Momma’s Going to Have the Last Word”
- Dave Mallett (The Garden Song!)
Closing will be a surprise birthday song with our video salute to the April BD luminaries and the celebrants in the room with us. If you have an April birthday, send your photo, name and birth date to birthdays@carpediemarts.org and we will include you in a birthday video salute. Invite family and friends from near and far to sing along and share in the event with you. Welcoming all ages!
The Community Sings are a partnership of Carpe Diem Arts and Washington Revels, with in-kind support from Takoma Radio. We will continue holding the Sings online until it is safe to gather again.
