October 21 – Community Sing

Singing as a Virtual Community

Join us for the monthly Carpe Diem Arts-Washington Revels Community & Family Sing online! For October we celebrate Democracy with Songs of Hope and Freedom! sing in honor of democracy, with songs of hope and freedom. In October we also mark Global Diversity Awareness Month, plus Italian, German, and Polish-American Month!

Sing along with international guest artists Jaja Bashengezi from the Democratic Republic of Congo, Christiana Drapkin from Germany, and Uasuf Gueye from Senegal, plus Nick Newlin from “The Civic Circle.” And sing along on “Change to Come,” a new song written by songwriters between the ages of 10-13!

The Community Sings are a partnership of Carpe Diem Arts and Washington Revels, with in-kind support from Takoma Radio. We will continue holding the Sings online until it is safe to gather again.
