Dine like a voyageur and support Washington Revels!
Join us at this special Revels fundraiser at the award-winning
L’Auberge Chez François for a private cooking demonstration and “Celebrate Québec” luncheon. This French-Canadian-inspired affair will be a delight for the senses! Chef
Jacques Haeringer will begin by whetting our appetites with an exclusive cooking demonstration—we will learn expert cooking techniques and tricks of the trade while sipping a delectable wine selected by his sommelier. After the demonstration, sit down to a four-course luncheon and dine on wonderful Québécois-themed fare—the likes of which the
voyageurs in this December’s
Christmas Revels could only dream about—along with two specially paired wines. During lunch there will be musical foretastes of the show, including rousing sing-alongs to further the merriment. We will also be treated to remarks and a song or two from Stephen D. Winick. Steve is the writer and editor for the Library of Congress’ American Folklife Center, and is a leading US expert on Québécois folklore and folk music. Also a professional singer and actor, Steve will rejoin us in December to reprise his role as Gaston, the leader of the
voyageurs.
Listed among the “Top 100 Restaurants in America” by OpenTable four years running, L’Auberge Chez François continues more than a half-century of culinary excellence. In 2017, it earned an “extraordinary to perfect” Zagat rating and was featured in

Washingtonian Magazine.
