Washington Revels seeks a Wardrobe Manager for The Christmas Revels at GW Lisner Auditorium in December 2019. The Wardrobe Manager will work with the Costume Designer, Costume Shop Manager and Wardrobe Volunteers.
This year’s production, “Celestial Fools,” centers around a “Brueghelian” village at the Winter Solstice, where visitors from outside this village introduce themes of the disappearance and re-emergence of light at the end of the solar year. Learn more about our 2019 production here.
The responsibilities for this position include organization and completion of daily laundry needs, organization and supervision of daily ironing needs, supervision of dissemination of costume items to dressing rooms, ensuring that all costumes are properly stored post performance, organization of a post tech-week removal of unused items, organization and supervision of quick changes, training of some volunteers, and simple fixes of items as needed.
Specific dates of residency are November 15-17 for chorus rehearsals, fittings and dress parade; Load in and Tech Period, Dec 1-5, performances, Dec 6-8 and Dec 13-15 .
This position offers a paid stipend.
