A concert to celebrate the bicentennial of Foundry United Methodist Church
In honor of the bicentennial of historic Foundry United Methodist Church, join Washington Revels Heritage Voices, old-time Roustabout String Band, and President Abraham Lincoln for a concert of traditional American songs and readings from the Civil War era. The music will include popular songs, patriotic music, parlor music, work songs, African American spirituals, shape note tunes, and more. President Lincoln, accompanied by his secretary John Nicolay, will offer some words for the occasion and will mingle with the audience at a reception following the concert.
