Commemorating the nation’s 250th anniversary, this musical and theatrical production is set in post-Civil War Washington, DC. Inspired by Hiram Rhodes Revels, the nation’s first African American U.S. Senator and other historic figures who championed civil rights, this special production will feature Washington Revels’ Jubilee Voices ensemble. Through a rich blend of songs, traditional tunes, and lively dance, we will reach across American culture to uplift and honor our shared heritage and celebrate the connections that both define and unite us today.
