September 2 – Kensington Labor Day Parade

Adults and kids of all ages — come march and sing with us!

Parade marching

Whether you’ve been a Reveler for years or are looking for your first experience, Washington Revels’ parades are one of the easiest ways to join in the fun! Our hardy band of Revelers — adults, teens, and children — will dress in white (or as close as you can get) and wear multi-colored sashes and arm ribbons (supplied by Revels). We will be accompanied by the Hobby Horse, “Snap the Dragon,” and a Smiling Sun, plus bright flags, banners, ribbon sticks and more! Kids are welcome (including kids in strollers), and older ones will have their own song to sing. We’ll also need adult flyer-hander-outers, so non-singers are encouraged to participate! If you play an instrument that can be easily carried and you would like to be in the band, let us know that as well.

To participate, please send an email to parade@revelsdc.org with your name and the name(s) of anyone coming with you (plus the ages of anyone under 18; under 13 must be accompanied by an adult), and we will email you the details.
