November 16 – Talbot Ave. Bridge Lantern Walk

Let your light shine.Members of Heritage Voices will lead and teach songs at the 2024 Talbot Avenue Bridge Lantern Walk. The Walk is an annual fun, family-friendly local community event that weaves together neighborhoods once divided by racial segregation and fittingly takes place during Montgomery County’s Remembrance and Reconciliation Month. All are welcome and there are several ways to participate. Come join us in shining our lights in the darkness, promoting unity over division, remembering the past and taking steps toward a brighter future.

This year’s event, dedicated to the memory of civic leader and Lyttonsville resident Charlotte Coffield, will conclude with a community reception at the Rosemary Hills Elementary School.

View Linden Lyttonsville, a documentary produced by former resident Curtis Crutchfield (and aired on Montgomery Community Media), featuring interviews with many current and former Lyttonsville/Linden residents as well as video footage of recent Talbot Avenue Bridge-related events, such as the 2023 Lantern Walk and the 2024 new Talbot Avenue Bridge opening ceremony.
