Deadline Extended for Hunger Action Month!
Washington Revels has joined the now 36 choruses in the DC-Metro area in the Choruses for Care and Compassion campaign to support and partner with the Capital Area Food Bank (CAFB). CAFB is one of the leading food-distribution organizations in the area — their work is especially important now during the pandemic.
The campaign’s combined goal is to raise $100,000 and the deadline has been extended from Labor Day through the end of September — Hunger Action Month! There are two ways you can help:
- Donate directly to the campaign. No amount is too little! Every dollar helps, and donating online is quick and easy. Give here: www.mightycause.com/event/Dcmetrochoruses
- Share the donation link on social media. When you do, be sure to mention that Washington Revels is one of the organizations participating in the fundraiser, tag us @revelsdc, and include the campaign hashtags #dcmetrochoruses and #makingadifference in your post.
Check out (and share!) this recent news article from WJLA about the combined campaign!
