May 19 – Day of Service

Let’s spread Joy and Compassion through service!

Our May Day of Service is a collaboration between Montgomery College Art Professor Robert Devers, the terrific organization So Others Might Eat (SOME), and Washington Revels! Join us as we head to an art studio to paint bowls that will be donated to SOME. Revelers will be passing on the Revels joy in a unique way — our bowls will help SOME in their mission to break the cycle of homelessness. (And we’re already well into plans for a future collaboration with SOME that will include getting SOME folks singing with Revelers at a SOME dinner.)

RSVP to jrasi@revelsdc.org — we can only take a small group this time, and space will fill quickly, but we will have a wait list and you’ll get first choice for the June and other summer painting dates (those dates will be announced in the next e-newsletter)!

What to bring: just yourself and your voice — we will sing a few songs to Professor Devers and studio guests and encourage them to join in — that’s painting bowls Revels style!
