October 15 – Québécois Concert & Dance

Tickets available tonight at the door! Join Washington Revels for a Québécois concert and “kitchen” dance in anticipation of the 2017 French-Canadian Christmas Revels. The evening begins with a performance featuring the exciting Québec folk duo of Alexis Chartrand (fiddle) and Nicolas Babineau (fiddle/guitar), fresh off their summer tour of Canada and Sweden and the release of their debut album, Gigues à deux faces. Enjoy a number of dance cameos during the concert by internationally renowned step-dancer Pierre Chartrand, who returns as a tradition-bearer in this year’s Christmas Revels, reprising his 2008 appearance! Following a brief intermission and fabulous dessert reception including Québécois-themed desserts, the floor will open for a traditional Québécois dance, called by Pierre, for adults and teens of all ages as well as younger children capable of following dance instructions. All levels of dance experience welcome.
