April 13 – Carpe Diem! 2nd Thursday Contra Dance

Seize the day, and dance the night away once a month!

Enjoy the fun as well as the mental and physical health benefits of dancing with others! Are you yearning for more community engagement? More joy? More cultural activities? More exercise? We’ve got it all covered in one stop — come along and dance! (And then join us on the 21st to sing too.)

No experience required: each session starts with a 30-minute lesson at the beginning, and then dances are “called” (for newbies, this means the steps are called out loud so you can follow along) throughout the remainder of the evening. All levels of experience are welcome.

April’s Contra Dance will feature Temptest with dances called by Rich Goss.

Presented as a partnership between Carpe Diem Arts, Folklore Society of Greater Washington, Montgomery County Recreation and Washington Revels.
