This year’s Nordic-themed Christmas Revels gives us all the excuse we need to delve into some of the incredible children’s literature that has emerged over the past century from the countries of Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden.
Targeted for ages 10 through 14 (5th-8th graders) with a parent, this gathering will be a chance to talk about the book we have all read in the month prior. (Wishing you could bring your younger children? Never fear — see our Revels Nordic Story Time sessions for smaller people.
Our second book and our December meeting date will be announced next week. Possible authors include Finland’s Tove Jansson, Iceland’s Andri Snær Magnason, Sweden’s Astrid Lindgren, or Maria Gripe, also Swedish.
