Sept 26 — Maritime Voices on USS Constellation

Maritime in Baltimore

Songs of the Sea, the Shore, and the Chesapeake

The Washington Revels Maritime Voices will present a program of traditional songs of the men who worked the great sailing ships, the women who sustained their shore-side communities, and the families who plied American canals and rivers.

The program will highlight the maritime history of the Chesapeake in the early 19th Century and the two sailing ships that bore the name Constellation.  There will be plenty of opportunities for everyone to sing along.

Hear these shanties and songs of the sea in an authentic environment aboard USS Constellation.
