Jubilee Voices Celebrate Maryland Emancipation Day at Josiah Henson Park

Join Jubilee Voices in celebrating Maryland Emancipation Day with a special concert in Josiah Henson Park!  The 3 p.m. performance is part of an FREE Open House at the park, a historic resource of local, state, national and international significance because of its association with Reverend Josiah Henson, whose 1849 autobiography inspired Harriet Beecher Stowe’s landmark novel, Uncle Tom’s Cabin. Jubilee Voices were part of a PBS Time Team America episode about this historic site in 2012.

*American Sign Language (ASL) interpreters will be available at Josiah Henson Park.

DATE/TIME: Sunday, November 8, Noon to 4 p.m. (Jubilee Voices perform at 3 p.m.)
